EUODIA ADVENTURES
Situated in the Hemel and Aarde Craft village, the doors to this adventure centre recently opened. Not with a subtle creak mind you, more like the proverbial bang that accompanies the action packed thrill seeking spirit that one would expect from an all encompassing adventure business. The journey starts here: at least that is what the owner of Euodia Adventures (meaning pleasant or prosperous journey), Jan van Schalkwyk, would have us believe, and I for one, am not doubting him.
They cater for every adventure scenario with a strong focus on Mountain Biking and Kayaking. Offering guided tours and daily excursions, top quality gear for sale or rent and a massive selection of adventure bookings there are no more excuses for not getting out in Hermanus anymore. Pop into their location and get a feel for what this one-stop-adventure-shop has to offer. You'll be pleasantly
surprised.

THE BISTRO AT JUST PURE
While celebrating the success of Just Pure's first two years, the owners Tamsin and Louis Koen have certainly not chosen to relax and take it easy, quite the contrary, they have just opened The Bistro at Just Pure, in the premises adjoining their Lifestyle store. Tamsin has always had a passion for healthy cooking and when the opportunity arose, she seized it and created the warm and inviting coffee shop that has embraced all the principles of the Just Pure brand.
Tamsin explains that their main aim is to serve fresh, healthy, wholesome meals that still taste delicious and decadent. All the meals are made from the best quality ingredients that they can find, organic and free range as far as possible and preservative and additive free.

TAN MILA
Tanmila is the new bespoke jewellery business of Milagros Murchio – a young Argentinean who is better known as Mila. The saying "dynamite comes in small packages" is what comes to mind when you meet this
diminutive, creative and energetic jeweller and her passion for her work is immediately evident. She trained in Argentina and is also a professional singer. Everything she does seems to be guided by creativity.
Mila's family moved to South Africa 8 years ago and settled in Plett. She has travelled extensively over the last few years, and it is the experiences she had during her travels that motivated her to open her little studio in the Village Square just over a month ago. According to Mila, her partner Johnathan Lowings inspires her for each design. Johnathan is very involved in the studio and with his interest in fashion, he will be very instrumental in the launch of their clothing range during 2010.

PIAZZA GALLERY
As you walk into the stylish new Piazza Gallery at the Village Square, the first thing that strikes you is the amazing space. The industrial style, loft design creates an uplifting atmosphere and the perfect setting to display a wide variety of artwork.
I had the opportunity to speak to Reanli De Jager, the gallery's PRO and she explained that the vision for the gallery is to create a place that is fresh and alive where people can interact and enjoy the art. The large space and light that flows from the numerous windows allows visitors to view the art from close up or from afar which gives one a real feel for the art.

Owners Bobby and Deirdre Loxton have been looking for new premises for the last few years to accommodate the growth of their business and with a little foresight and a little luck, they found not only the perfect location for their restaurant but an adjacent spot perfect for Deirdre's new business venture, the Piazza Gallery which has direct access from the restaurant.
